Christmas

Christmas this year was a lot of fun. We spent the holidays up in Farmington with Todd's family. We had a great time spending time with family, and were spoiled as always. Even though Lyla had no idea what was going on, it was so fun to have a baby at Christmas. She wore her little Christmas jammies and looked so darling.

Two Months

My baby is two months old! Lyla is so much fun. Here are a few things about Lyla at two months.

  • Smiling! Big huge smiles--she is really getting the hang of it. It is the greatest thing in the world to have your baby smile at you. It is impossible to stay irritated about a rough night or crying spell when she flashes that gummy grin.
  • She was starting to sleep pretty well at night. Unfortunately, she got a little sick this past week and has taken a few steps back, but we're hoping to get back to the 6-7 hour stretches soon!
  • Her hair is getting lighter and lighter. The roots are really light, so I think we are going to have a little blondie on our hands! I am excited because I always pictured having a blonde little girl, but it's bittersweet because I have grown fairly attached to her brown hair.
  • I think her eyes are going blue. I thought for sure they would be brown at first, but over the past week or two, they have really started blueing up, and several people have commented on her "blue eyes". So we'll see!
  • She is getting so strong! She loves to push off with her feet, and it looks like she might roll over soon.
