Todd's Graduation

This post is waayyyy overdue considering that Todd graduated from college 2.5 years ago. But it definitely deserves documentation so here goes.

Todd worked really hard over the course of about a year finishing up the last few classes he had left before graduation. I was so so proud of him for finally finishing! At first he didn't want to go to any of the ceremonies, but I convinced him that he could choose either commencement or convocation and he picked commencement. We were feeling cheap, so he borrowed my graduation gown, which did the job, even if it was a little on the short side :).

Unfortunately, most of Todd's family wasn't able to make it to the ceremony, but Nana came and we had such a great time with her! Todd was going to walk in and sit with the graduates, but at the last minute, he decided he would rather just sit with Nana and me. It was a bit less ceremonial, but it was nice to have him with us. It was a really great moment when Todd saw his name in print on the graduation program. He looked so happy and like he couldn't believe he'd finally done it.

After the ceremony, we went outside and took some pictures of Todd in his cap and gown. I was two months away from having Lyla, and it was great to have her with us for the occasion :). After pictures we went and had an awesome dinner with Nana at Carrabba's. Then on our way out of Provo, we swung by Krispy Kreme and picked up a dozen donuts. Turns out Krispy Kreme is Nana's favorite, and I haven't driven by Krispy Kreme since without thinking of that fun day with Nana.

Overall it was such an awesome day, and I was so proud of my husband! And I loved seeing how proud he was of himself. We waited a long time for that day and it was so great to finally get there. Sometimes I still can't believe that he finally finished!
