One Month

I can hardly believe that Lyla is one month old! Everyone says that time goes so slow while you are pregnant, and so fast after. It is so true. What is especially crazy is that she is almost 5 weeks old, but based on my due date, she should only by 2 weeks old today.

Lyla is a little doll, and such a blessing in our lives. She is a really good baby. When she does cry for more than a few minutes, and it isn't time to eat, Todd and I usually look at each other kind of confused about what to do because it is unusual behavior for her. It seems like she has grown so much already, but she is still tiny and her 0-3 month clothing swims on her for the most part. She is getting really strong though, and Todd likes to tell people all about how she holds her head up and does "push ups" on his chest. I'm sure they are very impressed by how advanced she is ;).

A few times I have heard her screaming (again, unusual behavior for her) and looked over to find her pulling a handful of her hair with a death grip. It's both sad and really funny because she doesn't know what she's doing, so I have to pry her hand open to give her some relief.

Luckily she hasn't pulled any hair out yet. As my sister said, this is not something parents of traditionally bald Funk babies usually have to worry about.
