One

Today Lyla turned one. I can't believe my baby is one and that I have been a mom for a year! I love that little girl so much and am so grateful to have her as a part of our family. Lyla is full of life and personality. It has been so fun to get to know her and learn more about her. I can't wait to watch her learn and grow and to see who she becomes. When she was born, I was so terrified of her growing up because I wanted her to stay my little baby forever. While at times I do miss my tiny newborn, each stage is more fun than the last, and I feel like more than just being my baby, lyla is becoming my little buddy and companion. She knows me and I know her. It is an amazing thing to be a mom and to understand your own little person's wants and needs--to be the person that they look to over anyone else in the world. It is completely humbling and such an amazing blessing. I love my little Lyla Jean  so so much. Happy first birthday little girl!
